West Ham’s Morrison fined for homophobic Twitter remark
West Ham United youngster Ravel Morrison has been fined and warned of his behaviour by the Football Association for a homophobic remark made on Twitter.
The 19-year old former Manchester United midfielder has been hit with a £7,000 penalty and has been told to reign in his comments after remarking about the sexual orientation of a fellow user of the social networking site.
"The charge was in relation to comments Morrison made on Twitter.""West Ham United's Ravel Morrison has been fined £7,000 and warned as to his future conduct after he admitted a charge of using abusive and/or insulting words including a reference to a person's sexual orientation,” read an FA statement.
