Roy Hodgson is confident that West Ham United striker Andy Carroll will be ready to go for England in their next World Cup qualifier.
The Three Lions boss included the 23-year old, who is on loan from Liverpool, in his 25-man squad for the October 12 visit of San Marino and the trip to Warsaw to play Poland four days later despite him returning from a groin injury a few days ago.
Carroll missed a month of action with the problem he sustained in his Hammers debut against Fulham but Hodgson has no fears regarding his fitness.
"Andy played 23 minutes including injury-time on Monday and I am expecting him to play more minutes on Saturday against Arsenal, either from the start or coming on," said Hodgson.
"He has another week after that so I don't think there is any reason for me to question his fitness."
