West Ham rival Leicester for PSG attacker Hatem Ben Arfa

West Ham are rivaling Leicester City for PSG attacker Hatem Ben Arfa.

The Daily Mail says West Ham have also been sounded out about taking the skilful former France international.

Leicester may need an option to replace Islam Slimani who is keen to move on.

The Algerian forward has only scored seven goals in his 32 appearances for the Foxes since making his £30million move from Sporting Lisbon.

Foxes boss Claude Puel has confirmed his interest in Ben Arfa, having worked with him at Nice.

He said, "If the situation of Ben Arfa can be a problem? I do not wonder about that. I met Hatem from time to time, we discussed things and we even played together with the Variete.

"I found him very sharp and despite the difficult situation which he is in, I found him well in his sneakers. The club that will have the opportunity to have Hatem, will make a good deal, I think."
