West Ham United have moved to beat Chelsea for Manchester City striker Danny Sturridge.
The Daily Mail says Chelsea have a deal in place for the Manchester City striker, 19, who is a free agent but will be subject to a development compensation claim of around £10million.
The prospect of working with Gianfranco Zola is appealing to Sturridge but Chelsea remain favourites.
