The love affair between Dimitri Payet and West Ham United is set to continue.
The Hammers have confirmed that the French playmaker has signed a new long-term contract, reported to be worth £125,000-a-week, which will keep him in East London until 2021.
Payet, 28, has enjoyed a dream start to life with West Ham since arriving from Marseille in the summer and has delighted the club by committing himself for the foreseeable future.
Regarding the new deal, a proud Payet told the club's official website: "For me it's a big step, an enormous show of faith, particularly from the Chairman [David] Sullivan and from the manager.
"I thank them for that, and I am proud and I'm happy to prolong the adventure with West Ham.
"I've said it several times, I feel good here, everyone's done all that they can to make me feel good. I want to help West Ham grow and, once again, this new contract shows my desire and motivation to fulfil those objectives."
Since arriving at Upton Park, Payet has scored six goals and produced six assists in 23 appearances and been described as the club's best player by manager Slaven Bilic.
