West Ham are ready to splash out on Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

The Mirror says West Ham will send Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart back to his parent club before doing a deal with United this summer.

West Ham are said to have been unimpressed by Hart's performances between the sticks this season.

The England international has failed to stop their drop down the league table and the Hammers are now genuine relegation candidates.

But the club are supposedly planning for the summer with the expectation they will remain in the top flight.

And they are ready to ditch Hart and push for United goalkeeper Johnstone instead.
