West Ham are preparing a major bid for Swansea City attacker Andre Ayew.

The Mail on Sunday says West Ham manager Slaven Bilic could up his offer to £20million as he looks to complete the signing of Ayew this week.

Bilic turned his attention to the Ghanaian after refusing to offer Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette a bigger contract than he would receive at Arsenal.

West Ham were hopeful of completing the deal for £16m, but may put in a larger bid after Swansea failed to respond positively to that offer.

The Hammers were offered Ayew on a free transfer last season, but opted against signing him, and he moved to Swansea instead.
