West Ham United are set to offer an improved contract to younger Declan Rice, per the Evening Standard.

While the Hammers are still dealing with the possibility of relegation, they appear safe enough given the gap to the bottom three with only four games remaining in the season.

And 19-year-old Rice is the type of player manager David Moyes wants to build his future team around.

Moyes did criticise Rice after the recent 4-1 loss to Arsenal, where he made a crucial error that gave Arsenal their second goal. But he is a huge fan of the player and wants him to commit his future to the club.
