The Daily Star says West Ham are planning for a busy summer and have ambitions to make some major moves in the transfer market.

They remain keen to sign a striker with Sunderland's Jermain Defoe and Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi still on their wishlist.

The Hammers also remain interested in Swansea playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson and Hull defender Harry Maguire.

But reports of a move for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney are understood to lack substance.
