West Ham United and Crystal Palace are chasing Celtic defender Efe Ambrose.

The Mirror says Ambrose, who can play at centre-back or right-back, has built a reputation as a no nonsense defender for his rugged displays in the SPL.

Both the Hammers and Eagles are aware of his defensive prowess and believe they could lure the Nigeria international south of the border.

Celtic would be reluctant to lose Ambrose at such a crucial juncture of the campaign but the defender would welcome the opportunity to join a Premier League side.
