West Ham have tabled a bid for FC Basel defender Manuel Akanji.

Blick says the Hammers have offered €18m for the young stopper.

However, Akanji is also interesting Borussia Dortmund and he would prefer a move to Germany over England.

The youngster is tied to FCB until 2021 and rated at €20m by his Swiss club.

However, BVB are reluctant to go higher than €13m for Akanji.
