West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce will not be making a move for former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka. The French forward left Stamford Bridge last year to join Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua and is reportedly available for a transfer.
But Allardyce told Sporting Life: "At the moment I am not in a position for Nicolas Anelka because my main priority is defenders.
"We have got Andy Carroll close to coming back and we have got Carlton Cole, [Marouane] Chamakh and we have also brought in Wellington [Paulista]."
