West Ham boss David Moyes had Billy McKinlay in Scotland on the weekend for scouting trip.
The London Evening Standard says Moyes has given another strong hint that he will be staying at the East London Premier League club beyond the end of the season, by scouting Scottish international John McGinn.
Assistant manager McKinlay was at Easter Road at the weekend to watch Hibs' 23-year-old midfield player McGinn impress in a 2-0 win over Aberdeen.
Moyes is keen to add British talent to the West Ham squad and McGinn could be one of his first summer signings if he decides to stay at the club.
