Atletico Madrid midfielder Luis Garcia is set to sign for a Premiership club.

The Mail on Sunday says the 30-year-old former Liverpool midfielder has been given permission by current club Atletico Madrid to sign for an English club and is close to completing a loan deal, with the option to make it permanent in the summer.

West Ham and Newcastle are both admirers of the Spanish wide-man and hope they will get the nod.
