West Ham have been stunned by Lazio president Claudio Lotito's new asking price for Felipe Anderson.
Lazio have rejected a bid of €20m plus bonuses from the Irons.
Sky Italia says negotiations over the last few days prompted an initial bid faxed to the Biancocelesti.
It is said to be €20m plus bonuses, but that is far below the asking price of at least €40m, preferably €50m.
These are early days, but Lazio president Lotito drives a very hard bargain and said he turned down €50m offers for the Brazilian in the past.
