The Sun says Bent is ready to link up with his old Charlton chief after failing to impress at Spurs following his £16.5million move last summer.

The England striker turned down Hammers for Tottenham amid rumours he did not want to play for Curbishley. However, it's emerged that Bent has since spoken with Curbs and made it clear his decision had nothing to do with the boss. The West Ham chief has accepted the explanation.

Spurs chief Juande Ramos needs to generate cash to buy players and West Ham are willing to fork out £10m for Bent.
