Skysports.com reports West Ham have stepped up their interest in Frederic Piquionne as they look to win the race for the Frenchman's services. Piquionne, who spent last season on loan at Portsmouth, is set to leave Lyon with the French side willing to sell the striker for as little as 1million.
Fulham have made a couple of offers for Piquionne, while West Brom are understood to have tabled a bid for Piquionne earlier this week.
