West Ham United are making a late move for midfielder Carlos Sanchez.

The Mirror says West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is trying to gazump his old club Bolton Wanderers by signing Colombia World Cup midfielder Carlos Sanchez.

Allardyce has approached Sanchez, who played for French side Valenciennes, via his own agent and made an offer to join his Premier League bound side that tops the deal the Championship Trotters have put on the table.

Sanchez is due to make a decision in the next 24 hours.
