West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang is ready to return to Italy this summer.

The Daily Mail says Obiang is wanted by former club Sampdoria.

The 26-year-old is keen on a return to Italy and talks are well advanced as Manuel Pellegrini re-shapes his squad.

West Ham have already completed the signings of three midfield players in Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson.

Subsequently, Obiang has dropped further down the pecking order at the East London club and his importance to Pellegrini's plans is in question.
