West Ham midfielder Parker still has World Cup hopes

West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker still has hopes of making England's World Cup squad.

England boss Fabio Capello saw Parker score a sensational leveller and more than match Frank Lampard in the midfield battleground before West Ham eventually subsided to Chelsea’s sheer class.

Parker said: “I always think about England. When every squad is named, I think maybe I could have chance or come in if somebody gets injured.

“I was in the squad for the game in Germany last season but if I’m being honest, I would have thought I would have been involved a little bit more now.

“All I can do is keep playing well for West Ham. That’s my main aim. If something comes of that, then brilliant.”

Parker,

consistently does a superb job in the centre of the park for west ham. If he was at another club he would have been picked for England long ago. He is a ball winner and we are going to need that against the likes of Brazil who are masters at keeping the ball. Parker's energy and commitment are as good as you are going to find in the EPL.

Fabio....pleae take Parker....England will need him this summer
