West Ham United midfielder Jack Collison is backing Cardiff City for Premier League promotion this season.

The Wales midfielder is keeping an eye on the Bluebirds' results closely.

He said: "Fingers crossed Cardiff won't mess it up this time. Welsh club football is absolutely flying at the moment.

"Swansea did so well last year and the quality of football they play is very nice to watch.

"It would be nice to see Cardiff City in the Premier League next year too."
