West Ham United midfielder Valon Behrami has declared he wants to move to AS Roma.
The Kosovo-born wing-back, who spent five seasons in Italy with Genoa, Verona and Lazio, is under contract at West Ham until 2013, and hopes the Serie A club will now throw him a lifeline.
The 25-year-old said: "There is interest in me from Roma, but nothing concrete so far, and so I'm still at West Ham.
"I would have no problem playing for Roma despite being ex-Lazio. I am a professional, and I always give my best.
"My daughter Sofia is now 18 months old, and it is not easy to bring a child up in London. Besides, Elena does not feel happy. She does not have a big circle of friends over there."
