West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce may still sell Nicky Maynard this week.

The London Evening Standard says Maynard's West Ham future looked uncertain today, despite the striker's first-half goal in last night's victory over his former club.

Maynard said: "I've had friends texting me, saying I'm going to this or that club but as far as I'm concerned I've heard nothing."

Manager Sam Allardyce is keen to bring in at least one more player before the transfer deadline on Friday but has to generate funds in order to do so.
