West Ham United management are pleased with the progress of Spanish youngster Sergio Sanchez.

The teenager has been promoted to the club's reserve-team and played in this week's 0-0 draw with Stoke City.

Hammers coach Alex Dyer told the club's website: "Sergio Sanchez was very good, as well. He reads the game well and looks like he has played a lot of games in the reserves, when this was his second full game."
