Liverpool winger Stewart Downing is in talks with West Ham United.
The Mirror says West Ham have made a shock £6million move to sign Liverpool winger Stewart Downing.
Former Middlesbrough wideman turned down a switch down south to Upton Park earlier this summer.
But the Hammers have come back in and the 29-year-old - a £20m capture from Aston Villa just two years ago - is set to cut his losses after failing to establish himself at the Anfield giants.
