West Ham United have made a move for Nancy striker Marc-Antoine Fortune.
The People says Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola wants to tempt the £2.5million hitman from Nancy - even though Hull have agreed a fee with his club.
Zola is desperate to improve his striking options but has only limited transfer funds after West Ham's takeover by Icelandic bank Straumur.
And he faces competition from Wolves, Fulham and new Celtic chief Tony Mowbray, who took Fortune, 27, on loan to West Brom for the second half of last season.
