West Ham United are hoping they can clinch the services of Lacina Traore on loan.

The 23-year old Ivory Coast striker only joined the French club from Anzhi Makhachkala on the weekend but Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri could allow him to leave temporarily considering he has the likes of Radamel Falcao and Emmanuel Riviere leading the attacking line.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is desperate to bring in a new striker as he continues to operate without the injured Andy Carroll and is likely to make an official offer for the former CFR Cluj and Kuban Krasnodar man.
