West Ham loanee Cullen hoping for positive Charlton spell

West Ham's Josh Cullen says he doesn't regret going on loan to Charlton Athletic as he desperately needs to play.

The 22-year-old midfielder claimed an assist in his first appearance for Charlton and is hoping it is a good sign for his loan spell.

"I needed to be playing games," Cullen said to whufc.com.

"Manuel Pellegrini was very supportive of me, saying I could stay around and try to push for my opportunity. But I couldn't hold on to see how results went."
