West Ham loan bid for Puncheon rejected by Southampton

West Ham United have failed in their bid to take Southampton’s Jason Puncheon on loan.

The 25-year old winger recently returned to St Mary’s after an unsuccessful spell with QPR and is wanted by a number of Championship clubs including Blackpool, Millwall, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace.

Southampton rejected West Ham’s loan approach indicating they may be keen to keep him in a Saints shirt as they strive to stay above the Hammers at the top of the second tier table.
