West Ham will take on Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna in the final pre-season friendly match for the new campaign on August 7 at Upton Park. The Spaniards, who finished in 10th place in La Liga last term, will provide stiff opposition for the Hammers as they embark on their first game at Upton Park under new manager Avram Grant, reports the Romford Recorder.

Deportivo won the La Liga title at the turn of the century, but their fortunes have been on the wane in recent seasons.

Their best known players are veteran Spanish international Juan Carlos Valeron as well as former Real Madrid striker Mista, while they are coached by Miguel Angel Lotina.
