West Ham United are lining up a sensational return for Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole.

The Daily Star says Liverpool are looking to offload the 30-year-old attacking midfielder after signing Nuri Sahin on a season-long loan from Real Madrid and £15m Joe Allen from Swansea City.

Now Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is poised to end Cole's Anfield nightmare and bring the former England star back to the club where he began his career, before moving to Chelsea in 2003.
