West Ham United legend Frank McAvennie has welcomed news that Sam Allardyce will employ more attacking tactics next season.
The board has stated that they want West Ham to play with more verve and flair next term.
"I think you know what you're getting with Big Sam," confirmed the 54-year-old to whufc.com. "I would like personally to see a bit more quality in the team - a few players who can get the ball down.
"I went to see Bolton when Sam was there and he had players like Jay-Jay Okocha and all that and those boys could get the ball down play. They also had other boys who could hit it direct and sometimes you have got to do that and I like to see them mix and match a bit more.
"I'd like to see Sam bring in a bit of quality."
