West Ham United legend Julian Dicks supports the takeover bid of David Sullivan and David Gold.

The former Birmingham City owners made their offer to West Ham yesterday.

Dicks told The Sun: "If they give Zola money to spend on the right players, it will be great for the football club.

"The key factor for me is clearing the debt and giving the manager plenty of money to strengthen the squad.

"They are not stupid people and managed to turn Birmingham around. They spent a lot of money and hopefully they can do the same at West Ham.

"The club needs transforming. A number of players need to be shipped out because they don't care about the badge. There is no passion when they are playing and it does worry me."
