West Ham United legend Paolo di Canio says Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano should go to the World Cup.

Cassano is back in the Samp team and scoring goals, but has next to no chance of making the Azzurri squad.

"I would take him without any doubt because he has matured after a long absence. It's obvious that Lippi thinks about balance, but Cassano is a unique player who can give unpredictability and fantasy," said Di Canio.
