West Ham United's backing of manager Avram Grant remains in doubt.
Hammers owners David Sullivan and David Gold told boss Grant on Tuesday that he would not be sacked this season, with Sullivan declaring: "We're a club that does the right thing.
But Hammers legend Tony Cottee told The Sun: "They have publicly backed Grant but if West Ham get stuffed at Everton and then lose to Blackpool, how can they back him to the end of the season?
"These owners arrived a year ago and totally undermined Gianfranco Zola, who wasn't even their man.
"It was only a question of time before he went.
"I am not Grant's biggest fan and it does not surprise me that the club are in this situation.
"But he doesn't deserve to be treated like this."
