West Ham United legend Tony Cottee hopes Sam Allardyce can sign some old boys this summer.

Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole and Bolton Wanderers' Nigel Reo-Coker have both been linked with the Premier League new boys.

Cottee said: "It would be criminal if the squad wasn't built on.

"The likes of (Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul) Robinson, Cole or Reo-Coker would be shrewd signings."
