West Ham have reportedly been left seething following the tackle from Everton's James McCarthy that has sidelined Hammers striker Dimitri Payet for three months
McCarthy only received a yellow card for his tackle and Hammers co-owner David Sullivan was not too impressed with the punishment.
Speaking to West Ham's official website, Sullivan said: "I thought some of the tackling by Everton was strong and I was amazed it took so long for them to get a yellow card.
"We've ended up with two badly injured players. Some weeks, challenges like that on Payet would have been a red card, and his injury changed the game for us."
Hammers manager Slaven Bilic also believed that the tackle warranted a sending off: "I didn't see it but I was told it should have been red."
