West Ham United goalkeeper Robert Green was offered to Premier League clubs last week.
The People says Green was being touted to several clubs by an agent - not his own - who claimed he was available for a loan deal and on half wages.
There were no takers for Green in the end, with his finger injury costing him an international squad place and possibly a move.
Green, 31, found no club had an immediate need for him, but the strange affair may see him being moved out in January if a gap comes in the market.
