West Ham goalkeeper Adrian hailed Dimitri Payet after his equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.

The Hammers were trailing Middlesbrough thanks to a header from Cristhian Stuani before Payet's wonder goal.

The keeper told BBC Sport: "We showed team spirit, character and helped each other. This is the way to earn more points.

"It is a draw, one more point but a good one for us. We have to keep fighting for more points.

"Payet is like that in training. He scored like a Lionel Messi goal at Barcelona! It is a massive goal to us."
