West Ham United are chasing Salvador Cabanas.

The News of the World says although the Hammers may not have too much money to spend in January's transfer window, they are believed to be keen to thrash out a deal for the Club America attacker.

The Paraguay international's agent Jose Maria Gonzalez has had talks about the forward's future and one strong option is believed to be a switch to Upton Park to work under Gianfranco Zola.

Cabanas, 29, is understood to be on his way out of Club America and sources in Mexico claim he could be destined to link up with Guillermo Franco in East London.
