West Ham keen on bringing back Villa's Collins

West Ham United are believed to be interested in re-signing defender James Collins.

The 28-year old Aston Villa centre-half spent about four years at Upton Park before moving to the West Midlands and it has been suggested by SunSport that Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen on his services.

Collins, who would cost around £2million, will be allowed to leave Villa Park but only if new manager Paul Lambert can find an apt replacement.
