The race for AS Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg is intensifying in England.

Interest from Fulham and Arsenal has been confirmed by Stekelenburg's camp, while TMW says West Ham United have also made contact.

The Dutchman wants to leave Roma this month after being overlooked by coach Zdenek Zeman for Mauro Goicoechea this season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is leading the chase for Stekelenburg, who he sees as ideal competition for young No1 Wojciech Szcz?sny.
