West Ham United are planning to introduce a new wage ceiling for next season.

The Daily Express says Hammers co-owner David Sullivan has warned that any new players brought in will have to settle for wages of about £20-25,000 a week.

West Ham have already put all but one of their squad up for sale after just about scraping their way to safety this season under Gianfranco Zola.

Big earners like England pair Matthew Upson and Robert Green, and Carlton Cole are set to be offloaded, if the right offers come in.
