West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan has made it vehemently clear that James Tomkins will not be offloaded anytime soon.
The 26-year-old defender has been heavily linked with a potential winter move to Sunderland following the appointment of Sam Allardyce as manager but Sullivan has moved quickly to pour cold water over the speculation.
In a boardroom update on the club's official website, Sullivan wrote: "There has been speculation in the media surrounding the future of our talented defender James Tomkins.
"James is a West Ham United player and has four-and-a-half years left on the contract. He loves the club.
"He won't be going anywhere."
The versatile Tomkins has featured 12 times in all competitions under Slaven Bilic so far this season.o
