West Ham are in talks for Newcastle defender Daryl Janmaat.

The Daily Mail says Hammers boss Slaven Bilic remains keen to add a right-back too and West Ham have held talks with Newcastle over a potential deal for Holland international Janmaat.

The 27-year-old was left out of Newcastle's matchday squad that travelled to Bristol City yesterday.

Manager Rafa Benitez has Jesus Gamez injured but still preferred 18-year-old Jamie Sterry on the bench.
