In his column for The Sun, former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp recalled some great advice Frank Lampard Senior gave to Harry Kane during his youth years.
Redknapp wrote: "When I was Spurs boss, Harry was playing in the reserves against Birmingham. Frank Lampard Senior came along to watch.
"Harry demolished Birmingham and scored about four goals. Afterwards, Frank said to me: 'That lad's good, but do you mind if I have a word with him?'
"Of course I didn't and Frank spoke to Harry, telling him to go straight out and buy some running spikes. Frank advised him to work, work, work on short ten and 20-yard sprints."
Kane has scored 29 goals for Tottenham this season which led to his first call to the England national team for the weekend's Euro2016 qualifier against Lithuania and next week's friendly with Italy.
