West Ham United plan to bid for Genk defender Kara Mbodj this summer.
Hammers chiefs see Mbodj as a replacement for wantaway Kiwi Winston Reid and were ready to bid for him in January of Reid had pushed for a move.
Genk coach Alex McLeish is resigned to losing his star defender at season's end.
Mbodj can also play in midfield.
