Carlton Cole is set to land a short-term deal with West Ham United.

The England forward, 29, is returning to Upton Park on a three month deal, just four and a half months after he was released at the end of last season.

He was signed, according to The Sun, after proving his fitness over 90 minutes in a behind closed doors game against Charlton on Thursday.
