West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is on the brink of signing a new contract.
The Daily Mail says Allardyce is ready to sign a three-year contract worth close to £9million that will see him among the Premier League's top earners.
It is understood that talks have progressed to the point where only the fine details need ironing out, giving Allardyce a salary package approaching £3million.
His agent, Mark Curtis, has been in discussions with West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold and the bumper pay packet is seen as reward for steering the side out of the nPower Championship at the first time of asking - albeit via the play-offs - and taking them to the brink of preserving their Barclays Premier League status.
