West Ham forward Chicharito: Man Utd were 'ruthless'

West Ham United forward Javier Hernandez says his side were beaten by a ruthless Manchester United on Sunday.

United were clinical in their 4-0 drubbing of the Hammers at Old Trafford, with Romelu Lukaku's brace accompanied by late goals from Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.

"Of course, it could have gone better for me and for us," said the Mexican forward, who spent five seasons with United.

"Nobody wants to lose 4-0 on any pitch in the world, but they [United] were a little bit better, more ruthless and after the second goal, things went very positively for them."

Speaking of the Hammers' chance to equalise on the stroke of half-time, Hernandez said: "It probably would have been different, but we cannot speak about that because it wasn't a goal.

"In the first half, we played really well but we had one big mistake and they scored.

"They are Manchester United and they finished us off."
